THE PROBLEM WITH URINALS

Bad bacteria present in the urinal environment degrade urinal components to produce strongly smelling molecules, resulting in the characteristic ammonia-like odour. Uric scale is formed by insoluble compounds in the urine, forming unsightly deposits on the bowl. In extreme cases, build up of uric scale within the pipe work can cause urinals to block and overflow. Troublesome hard water scale (calcium and magnesium carbonates) can build up and lead to blockages in pipes.

THE SOLUTION

Whilst it may seem odd to suggest that a waterless urinal could smell less than a flushing urinal, this is exactly the case. A regularly flushing or conventional urinal provides the perfect conditions for bad-odour producing bacteria

Maintenance
